This training will be taught by Community Services Network of Michigan(CSN), which provides a variety of training programs for direct care staff who assist older adults and persons with disabilities. Classes are informative, interactive and provide tools that can be used to enhance care.

This training will:

1. Identify signs and symptoms of cardiovascular disease, including heart attack, stroke and peripheral vascular disease.

2. Describe COPD, and how these conditions can affect the person's ability to do activities of daily living.

3. List issues related to professional boundaries when staff interact with clients at an adult day program.

Cost is only $50 per person for MADSA members and $75 per person for non-members.
